So, we are looking at a faster moving system with Ian. Friday through later Saturday morning or early afternoon is the steadier and heavier rain window. Just based on data as of 2:25 PM Thursday, the trend is for the steadier rain to give way to some showers in the region.

With the 3:30 PM kickoff there's a chance, we may not see much rain action for the game. This is about a 8 hour shift in timing we'd been tracking since early in the week.

I will leave it to your best judgement, but, for Boone, it appear as dire today as data had been pushing 24 hours ago. We've had consistent model runs with this quicker departure of the rain since late last night.

I hope it verifies for the sake of the teams on that field tomorrow. Plus, I hope Citadel folks get out of Charleston Friday AM. That may be a problem if a cat 1 hurricane moves in on them before they can get on the road.

Well the youngest kids soccer usually eats up every Saturday unfortunately. I'm only going to make the Wed night game and RMU (because the soccer game is early enough) this season it appears.

Probably wouldn't make it to the destination. And that's 2 racks of pork ribs, 1 beef ribs and 2 whole chicken. But neighbors are coming over and between us is 7 kids from 7-16 so everything will be gone quickly.

Time to cancel soccer, it's interfering with actual football.

Seems like the storm keeps tracking a little bit more east by the update. I am definitely not on Mr. Crum's level, but seems like it might not be a terrible gameday experience after all.

I just miss the days of when we had like 20-40 people in a gravel lot for tailgating and cooking all morning for delicious pregame meals. Those darn families and life got in everyone’s way. And losing that great tailgate lot.

Ok - what is the final forecast/predictions? Trying to make the final call if we will travel from Raleigh in the morning with our 5 year old. Don't want him to be miserable if winds will be terrible (he's a bit delicate, lol).

I'm sure Crum will update soon. But appears that rain percent will drop to 50 or below around noon tomorrow in Boone with less than 10mph winds.
