APP STATE / UNC WEATHER TRENDS

***FRIDAY UPDATE!***
I like what I am seeing the modeling. Things are pretty dialed in at this point. Looks like a drier scenario will play out. The better chance for rain should off until later in the day, after the game. I won't fully shut the door to something earlier, but, the majority of the data is now drier for Saturday.
GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!

***THURSDAY UPDATE***
I don't expect much tweaking of the forecast. I think overall, things will be fine. It's later into the game we may get a shower or some patchy rain. Storm chances are really small. So, come on you all! See you in the stands!

**WEDNESDAY UPDATE**
I'd pack that poncho. The start of the game should be dry. But, by halftime, and heading towards the end of the game, the chance for showers seems to be ramping up a bit with some data today. Storm chances should be low.
Don't yet know if this is "trend" towards soggier just yet. We'll see where things stand tomorrow. I'd rather have you over prepared than not prepared!
GO MOUNTAINEERS!

OK my MOUNTAINEERS! We are back for a new season! Awesome to have football back! It will be great to see old friends and make new ones this year.

Here's what I'm thinking:
I will be tweaking the forecast as the week unfolds. This game should not be a washout, the noon kick should work in our favor.
Dry for the start of the game, rain chances ramp up by halftime for the rain / storm side of things.
7 AM - M.Cloudy, low 60s.
10 AM - P.Sunny, low 70s
KICKOFF - P.Sunny, mid 70s, small chance for showers
HALFTIME - Mostly cloudy, mid 70s, chance for a few showers / storms
END OF GAME - Mostly cloudy, mid 70s, chance for a few showers & storms.
I will add that the modeling has been pushing a drier scenario up until this latest afternoon run. In my world, that means we don't have a clear trend for soggy just yet. So, we'll see.

As always GO MOUNTAINEERS!
