So I looked ad what everyone said in the other thread and tried to count up all the names and the times they were mentioned in someones top 5 including their HMs. I excluded names repeated in the debate replies. I think I set it so you could pick 5 players. There may be more people that you could argue for but I think this is probably a pretty good list. I tried to post a poll as just another post in that other thread but it wouldn't let me so here is a new thread for it.

Looks like Hackett, Settle, Coackley, AE, and Hand are moving ahead pretty quickly.

Two people did not pick Coakley. That is an absolute shocker. Could there be a mistake?

I just became aware of this poll from a colleague. May I presume that more than one day is being set aside for "voting?" I want my input included. I'm in a meeting and I'm on the agenda so I'm outta here until late afternoon.

Yea... you would think Edwards and Coakley would be #1 and #2 on every list.

AE and Dexter would almost have to be locks. The other picks were rather difficult. Hand was the only one I never saw play at App so it was very difficult for me to grade him even though his NFL credentials were impressive.

I think I left it open permanently if I checked the right option. I also left it open to change your answer if you don't like your first 5. Its been forever since we had any kind of poll on here so I figured it was an interesting enough topic to throw one out there.

I went with:

Hackett
Settle
Coakley
AE
Lynch

I never saw Hand play (college or professional), and what I know most about him was his NFL career. I viewed this poll as the five greatest Apps while at App, with AE and Coakley as locks. I didn't feel it appropriate to use professional careers in this assessment.
