Re: ESPN Bowl Projections
I know one thing about these current bowl matchup affiliations, it’ll be nice to have newer one negotiated with the conference changes.

I agree. Hopefully the SBC will gain more credibility and have chances at bowls with larger payouts.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:35 amI know one thing about these current bowl matchup affiliations, it’ll be nice to have newer one negotiated with the conference changes.

I saw one projection had us playing Liberty, who is favored by 4.5 over ULL this Saturday.

Not sure if VT will be bowl eligible. Two games left at Miami and UVA plus the upheaval of firing the Head Coach.

I don't believe Missouri is bowl eligible yet either. They host Florida and go to Arkansas.

Re: ESPN Bowl Projections
Normally, I would pick Florida to cover in a game against Missouri (If I could ever stand to pull for Florida...which I can't). They are all over the board this year though. They play Bama to close, but lose to a bad LSU and SOUTH CAROLINA? No way to know what team shows up. I hate Florida with a passion, so I'm pulling for Drink this weekend!

Don’t forget that they just gave up a half a 100 to Sanford.Yosef84 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 12:20 pmNormally, I would pick Florida to cover in a game against Missouri (If I could ever stand to pull for Florida...which I can't). Makes no sense that losing to ULM translates to favorites vs ULL.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:47 amI saw one projection had us playing Liberty, who is favored by 4.5 over ULL this Saturday.

There was a lady sitting behind me Saturday that was pi$$ed that we weren’t beating South Alabama as bad as Vegas thought we would.biggie wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:29 pmMakes no sense that losing to ULM translates to favorites vs ULL.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:47 amI saw one projection had us playing Liberty, who is favored by 4.5 over ULL this Saturday.

That is some serious disrespect to the Cajuns. I'm sure they're basing it on home field advantage, but I hope UL beats them by 30 points.biggie wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:29 pmMakes no sense that losing to ULM translates to favorites vs ULL.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:47 amI saw one projection had us playing Liberty, who is favored by 4.5 over ULL this Saturday.

Was it a crazy blonde haired lady in her 50s? She is in 206 and a grade A clueless psycho!AppSt94 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:33 pmThere was a lady sitting behind me Saturday that was pi$$ed that we weren’t beating South Alabama as bad as Vegas thought we would.biggie wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:29 pmMakes no sense that losing to ULM translates to favorites vs ULL.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 10:47 amI saw one projection had us playing Liberty, who is favored by 4.5 over ULL this Saturday.

That'll depend on which UL team shows up that day...Yosef84 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:38 pmThat is some serious disrespect to the Cajuns. Re: ESPN Bowl Projections
Crazy blonde, yes. Different one though. This one is in the NEZ. And to be fair to her, she is a nice person and really gets into the game and is quite passionate. She yells at the refs like they care what she has to say. Her voice REALLY carries and she is a bit oblivious as to how disruptive she is to those around her trying to have conversations.appgrad2010 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:39 pmWas it a crazy blonde haired lady in her 50s? Re: ESPN Bowl Projections
Brett McMurphy is predicting we go to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl and play Nevada on Dec 21st. It is an ESPN bowl with ties to the AAC, but the Sunbelt is listed as a possible participant.

Re: ESPN Bowl Projections
Do these guys even know our bowl tie-ins? Or are they projecting that something unusual will happen this year?

Re: ESPN Bowl Projections
I've noticed some weird predictions. I think the prognosticators are realizing that ESPN will do what ESPN will do, with the lower tier bowls especially (only). I think they have at least a piece of every bowl now. I don't think the bowl sponsors, within reason, are going to be concerned with what conference the teams come from as long as the game is a good draw.
