BYU had to travel over 4,000 miles, RT, to play Coastal in Conway. How would Coastal have performed last night done with that burden?

It was probably a four hour flight.

BYU is used to traveling. As most West Coast teams are. Last year they played at Knoxville, at UMass, and in Florida and Toledo. I would think that’s pretty representative of most years as an independent.

No-no, it was a great “burden”. They probably travelled by covered wagon across the Great Plains to get to Coastal. Many were lost on their arduous journey of peril.
Breaking news, it’s harder to win on the road than at home.

The question to ask is about prep time for Coastal’s offense. We know how hard it is to prepare for GS on a short week. Having just a day or two to get used to the Chadwell offense is more difficult given their QB’s abilities.

Coastal's Defense won that game. 17 points is by far the lowest point total of BYU this year.

That's a dumb azz reply. Good grief, RichmondApp. Did you forget there is such a thing as jet lag?

It was a 2 hour trip since they passed through 2 time zones. Or only 1 hour if they are in WDT. But wait, going that way maybe it was a 6 hour trip, or 7, and a short trip home. Or maybe they loaded into a hover craft and let the earth rotate and when the east coast appeared they dropped down. But if the earth rotates the other way then that would have been a 22 hour trip, or 21 if they are WDT. Unless Utah is one of those states that doesn’t go to daylight standard time, in which case an hour would be subtracted, or maybe added, depending on which way......Ah, forget it. I wish I had paid attention in middle school science class.

Therefore, they dined with the Donner Party on their way out.

I know NewApp is a few years older than I am so I think he and a few others just missed playing Oregon Trail on the Apple II (and other platforms into the 90s).
