CFN: 12/21 Myrtle Beach Bowl vs. Liberty
Sporting News: 12/21 Myrtle Beach Bowl vs. Memphis
ESPN: 12/23 NOLA vs. LA Tech
12/25 Mobile vs. Marshall
CBS: 12/23 NOLA vs. LA Tech
24/7: 12/23 Camellia vs. SDSU
Athlon: 12/23 NOLA vs. LA Tech
Bleacher: 12/23 NOLA vs. LA Tech
Personal preference would be Myrtle Beach vs. Memphis, game I'd travel too and make NOLA more likely next year if we aren't chosen this year.
Would love to play Marshall again to right that wrong.

Since they are more interested in matchups than W-L records, I'd like to play Duke or State in Myrtle Beach.

Hasn’t Myrtle Beach already canceled their game this year?

If teams have any input, I would think we would like to stay as close to home as possible. Though, it would seem a good bet we wind up in NO again. Since neither Coastal nor UL can play there this year, its likely the folks in NO may want us back.

why can't CC or UL play there?

It's still on. Marty and McGee are trying to get the job calling the game.

With so many teams playing still playing games on December 12 and a lot of reschedule non championship games on December 19, I am surprised that many of these bowl dates were not moved back. But then again they are almost all owned by ESPN and their tv schedule is apparently the most important consideration.

Thanks - for some reason I thought I remembered it being cancelled. I could have gotten it mixed up with the Bahamas Bowl, though (the first time dirty Myrtle has ever been confused with the Bahamas).

They were still promoting it during the Coastal game

From a selfish/App Fans Traveling scenario, I don't really care which Bowl it is, but rather what the maximum attendance is:
Myrtle Beach would be about 3,500
Mobile 6,000
The Saints are allowed to have 6,000 in the SuperDome
The Camelia Bowl holds 25000, so the expected allowance would be 25%/6,250

I also have no interest in playing Marshall again. They beat us and if they go undefeated their reward should not be a rematch with us. That sets a bad precedent.
This also could be a weird year with the Big 10 where a program has it's season ended early by the administration which could re-shuffle the deck.

What does Marshall "deserve" for their season. Facing Liberty or CCU, maybe, anything better than that and I'm laying money down on a whooping.

I am not validating their schedule. If we had beat them, we would be very disappointed having to play them again in a Bowl Game.
Again, I think it’s a bad precedent.

Just read where the Sun Bowl has been canceled this year. This paragraph within the article surprised me with the number of bowls that have already been canceled,
"The Sun Bowl is the ninth bowl game canceled because of COVID-19; the Bahamas, Celebration, Fenway, Hawaii, Holiday, Motor City, Pinstripe and Redbox bowls are the others."
It went on to say that the AAC has already lost 4 bowl tie ins and the PAC 12 has lost 3. Not sure if that changes anything with the other bowls, but with ESPN owning most of them, maybe we can get an AAC team in a bowl. It would sure beat having another MAC or Conference USA team.

I really don’t see hardly any bowl games being played. If some of the projections are close to accurate some of the bowls will take P5’s with crappy records for the sake of whatever good matchup they expect to have. Some of the teams I read as projected to play have like 2 or 3 wins. Again, if half of the remaining bowls get played it will be a miracle. Are schools really going to fly teams or even bus them to play another game in an empty stadium? Can App really afford to fly the team to New Orleans (for example) to play in the empty Super Dome against some MAC or middling Conf USA team? If we can do a day trip to Myrtle Beach that could work. Are good G5’s going to get screwed if there are only about 20 bowl games played?

This might be the only way we get to play either school any time soon. I'd love to see it
