I wondered if this was ever going to happen. I will be interested to hear the time table and the behind the scenes data from the announcement. (If it does happen) Can't wait to see the future schedules!

For those of you that have waited for so many long years for us to go FBS,
do you feel excited more than drained, or just relieved?

Twitter is blowing up right now. Over 200 tweets in the last 20 minutes on one of my search pages alone.

I feel like this is 99% chance going to happen now. As said above, this is coming from Tommy Bowman who is probably the most connected media person to App and I don't think he would say it unless it were going to happen

If true and the rug will not be yanked out from under us again...its not as much excitement as it is a relief. We will be able to continue growth in a positive direction. ECU or Marshall back in Boone is cool to think about. But I tell ya I still want to see that ticket in CC's hand.

sorta anticlimatic, after reading the JMU message boards this week with WM leaving the CAA, I convienced we are making the right move, if JMU doesnt get an invite to the SBC, they are probably screwed for a long time, the CAA is crashing and burning, the SC might be next.

Poster on AGS that claims to have a source says JMU will be next invited to the Sun Belt. That would be GREAT news for us.

if JMU got a SBC invite, that is the final piece of the puzzle, I'm all in, everytime we have played JMU in football, it turns into a "classic", (the playoff game), the next year JMU got revenge coming from 21 down at half to win), our fans , seem to get more excited about playing each other, than our own conference foes. Couple of years in the same conference and we will have a stronger rivalary with JMU than we have ever had with any other SC team, even GS.
