Will we have any attendance next Wednesday?

What difference does it make if it is mid-week when they only let a handful of fans in the stands?appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:05 amWild that our next three games are on weekdays. I worry that the stands would be pretty spare even if we had zero restrictions.
Moving forward, I hope we never have another schedule with a Wednesday-Wednesday-Thursday stretch.
If there ever was a season to have a stretch of 3 mid-week games, this is the year as it pertains to attendance or the lack there of.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:33 amWhat difference does it make if it is mid-week when they only let a handful of fans in the stands?appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:05 amWild that our next three games are on weekdays. You are continually making a big deal about the attendance rules - Do you have a family member on the team? If so, that is understandable - are you just upset that you can't attend every game?AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:33 amWhat difference does it make if it is mid-week when they only let a handful of fans in the stands?appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:05 amWild that our next three games are on weekdays. No doubt. But I don’t think getting this stretch will excuse us in future years. I understand the necessity of a few midweek games, but three in a row is excessive.moonshine wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 1:54 pmIf there ever was a season to have a stretch of 3 mid-week games, this is the year as it pertains to attendance or the lack there of.AtlAppMan wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 11:33 amWhat difference does it make if it is mid-week when they only let a handful of fans in the stands?appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:05 amWild that our next three games are on weekdays. It’s my understanding that Friday is the beginning of 7% being allowed... I didn’t think that’s still to be determined... That being said, I ain’t cancelling my reservations in Boone till I absolutely have to (Tuesday, I think)!... and still may head up to see what I might come up with... Worst case scenario is watch in the hotel!
The students pay the fess so the seniors should get first stab at it. The seniors families should get something in case the season ends early. Then junior students and on down the list.
I'm not disagreeing with 3 in a row being excessive. My point was that if App has to be subjected to 3 mid-week games in a row, this is probably the best year due to attendance restrictions. Attendance during mid-week games has been and probably always will be a point of contention on this board barring a mid-week game against say Wake. However, since App has 3 in a row this year, maybe the Sun Belt will do the program a solid and not do this to the team/fans again for several more years. We have been pretty fortunate to avoid having a bunch of mid-week home games since joining, especially compared to our friends down south in Statesboro.appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 6:03 pmNo doubt. Seems like I recall that the Sun Belt picked up the TV spots that had been contracted by the MAC who of course cancelled their season. I believe that is why we have so many mid-week games in a row but I could be wrong. I'd assume that the SBC will pick up some much needed revenue by picking up those games. Hopefully, this won't set a precedent for the SBC in future years.appchicago wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 6:03 pmNo doubt. But I don’t think getting this stretch will excuse us in future years. I was told they are having a lottery for the students. Don’t know if any students have a priority over any others. It’s been 12 years since I missed a home game but if they gave me my seats for a game this year I would find 2 students or player parent to sit in them.McLeansvilleAppFan wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 10:18 pmThe students pay the fess so the seniors should get first stab at it. Give Student Yosef Club members priority for their support on top of the fees they pay.
