Man, that elite OLine looked like a bunch of ugly 12 year olds vs the D Taylor

Big and slow. Great penetration by NT Blackstock, Earle and Scott

Their OL played well at times but definitely not as good as their fans claimed. Our speed was too much for them for sure.

I was not impressed. All I read all week was how we could not play with them. O line would smash us. Didn't happen. Our D played lights out! They had a few plays, but not many

It looked like our D line must have been tired of hearing about how wonderful the opposition Oline is. Taylor is a force, first play of the game really settled my nerves.

How many years has their line been playing together and how many years have we been beating their asses?

I have said many times that typical "big" G5 offensive lines are usually just fat and slow. If a 6'5" 300 lb offensive lineman is really that good he is probably on a P5 team. The commentators made reference to the fact that we don't have the same size linemen but it didn't matter. Did anyone notice when one of the announcers talked about our line and they put up the graphic we had, I believe a 398 lb dude?

I saw that typo on the graphic. I laughed my butt off because he had literally just made the point that we didn't have a single OL over 300 lbs. I found that amusing for some reason.

Ryan Leaf should go back to prison for what he did to our game last night...

I know that was tongue-in-cheek, and I have given him a hard time for playing up the home team (that happens with young announcers who spend more time with the home coaching staff), but considering where he is fr where he came, I’m happy for him. Just give the visiting team some credit next time — unless that next time is Halloween night at KBS.

Easy now, our Apps have a few of those big fellas...headlined by 6-5, 305 Vic Johnson. But no 398 types!

I really don't put Vic in the big, fat and slow category.

Don't know why this popped into my head. Who was the monstrous sized left tackle we had on the '94-'95 team? He was like 6'7. Huge road grader but was a little slow in the speed department. I'll try and find his name.

Our D line has now handled 2 huge O lines and one of those had P5 guys. I was really worried about the size of the UL O line until I remembered the size of the UNC line. Coming into the season and after the injuries our D line was really a concern but now I see nothing but upside for those guys. They have some really big games behind them now and the confidence has to be growing. I look for them to become a dominant group.

That's him. Thanks for the answer. I couldn't locate a roster for that time period.
