How terrible would it be to get Charlotte in New Orleans?

I had that same thought earlier when I read the other thread about the bowl projections. That could probably be the absolute worst case scenario for an otherwise awesome season. Imagine us going unbeaten, overlooked for the NY6 bowl, winning the Sunbelt and awarded the surprising winner of Conference USA...Charlotte. Ugh

Beat Charlotte
Beat Carolina
Beat South Carolina
Go undefeated
Win the SunBelt title
Win our Bowl Game (wherever that may be)

If we end up in New Orleans after all of this, so be it. I’ll be there and will be celebrating. If we end up in an NY6 game, I’ll be there and be even more jacked. But either way, I’m happy with the results. And to be honest, I think Drink will take every opportunity to “make statements” against teams this season. He knows we need to be a little flamboyant to catch more national attention.

winning the three regional games was important in my mind to establish where we were as a program on a broader landscape. The rest of it is just “blah blah blah”....let’s go undefeated.
