I was talking to some players after the game, quite a few of them said they actually liked the field. They said it was softer and less “hard on your body”. They said Kidd Brewer isn’t bad, but it is a lot harder and tough on the body. I said that it didn’t look like Evans liked it based on him slipping and it seemed it had too much rubber flying up. My thoughts are our equipment manager should have visited the stadium a few days earlier and tested the depth so we had the right cleats. They may have done that, but it didn’t look like it.

Because it IS field turf the infill can be different than other fields. Not sure if it can truly be manipulated but I would imagine it can be done. There did appear to be a lot of infill flying and we seemed to slip a few times.

UNC's turf is brand, brand new. Like early August '19 new! The turf at KBS is old and in need of replacement. DG has that replacement calendered!

I seem to recall that Witten said they had wet the field somehow before the game. Not sure, though.
