I don’t understand why the BOD can be in Michigan, but can’t be across the state at a very important in state game that doesn’t come around very often. I was at the Michigan game, and the BOD made us very proud.

They're saving their lung strength for all of the home games, where they play all game long.

If they weren't already scheduled to be there then there is nowhere for them to sit together. This thing sold out in minutes. It would be great for them to be there, but it just ain't happening and there's no point insisting on it.

Michigan accommodated the band even with a sellout crowd of 109,000 by placing them on the sidelines near the end zone.

If any of you would like to buy a block of 300 seats and 3 meals for every band manner, as well as rent 6 busses and a box truck the BOD would probably be more than happy to go.
The bowl game is a multi day multi hundred thousand dollar trip for the band. They probably can’t afford to go..........

Do we even have a full time Band Director? I thought I saw where the Acting Band Director was renamed Acting Director for another year. I could be wrong but if so how many years does it take to find a Band Director.

I’m guessing this has a lot to do with it. UNC knee this game would be in high demand, even before their decent start, and wasn’t going to give up space. Same for App-those 300 tickets are valuable dollars to go towards many of the enhancements that aren’t yet funded. If we as fans wanted them there, we should have paid for it.

If $$$ is the concern, which I agree it is. We don’t need the full band. A pep band like plays at B-ball games would suffice.

If I remember correctly, a booster paid for the band to go to Michigan.

I also think the band needs to be invited by the opponent to attend. I could be wrong about that too.

I believe so to perform at halftime and that’s rare. Approximately 8 spare min for a another halftime show is hard to come across

Money is 100% the problem. Reason they don't go to our P5 games any more is to have the money for the bowl game.

The band performed before the 07 Michigan game. Wolverine fans around us were very impressed.
