Much better job and execution after the national anthem with the App State chant led by the the video board, Rock you SKOL clap thing, and mountain music song.
Good Job Doug - Thanks for listening!

Meanwhile Bugler's dream is dead and music is blasted every.freaking.play. Gameday at the Rock was not what it once was today.

Roof was not calling plays in the pregame! That’s positive.

I kid I kid ....

The first app state chant gave me chills.

Not allowing cars to enter stadium drive until atleast an hour after the game would improve things a lot. Both lanes should be headed OUT .

We have a new minor league baseball team here in Fayetteville and they rely on the music snippets between every play- felt like that yesterday

Worst part about that is we don’t have to rely on the PA music

A buddy sitting next to me noticed that whenver the PA played "We Ready" before kickoffs when Charlotte scored, their sideline was getting pumped to it, which was awful.

The PA music between plays just really grating near the end of the game. At one point, they played two different music snippets between one play, killing the vibe.

The APP... STATE chant was a major positive. And at times, the band turned to the crowd and played the fight song, which was a clever move.

Related to this... did the irony of playing this song after we gave up 40 points not make it to the person in charge of the PA?

We were definitely ready to let them score. Hating the PA music. Their players were getting hyped up too sometimes more than our own. Then again they had more to be happy about at times.

You guys remember when the band played buglers dream every kickoff and the band had to hold the last note until the ball was finally kicked? Sometimes having to hold the final note like 15 seconds? Miss that - good times

I think that if those in power knew the history of BD, then we’d play it every time we kicked off.

I noticed the Viking "clap-clap" SKOL in a Pepsi commercial. Is Pepsi asking us to include this?

Dr. Gardner is the brand new director of the Band of Distinction. I doubt he knows about when to play buglers dream like they used too. I suggest you email him. gardnerjp@appstate.edu

I would think the crazy media timeouts would make the timing more difficult still. There is a wonderful dedication by the band and the fans to hold that note, though. I really miss that tradition!

I realize this thread deals with pregame, but I don’t want to start a new one. Why aren’t we cheering for the defense when they come off the field after a three and out or at least a stop and forced punt? (I know there weren’t many yesterday). I noticed there was little or no cheering the defense when we got an early three and out. It might just be a little encouragement for a group that could certainly use it.
