Hey did I miss something or did they move up Spring Practice earlier than had previously been planned? I thought I had seen something in March but apparently today is the day.

In an interview with Coach Drink in The Athletic, dated yesterday, it was mentioned that Spring Practice begins today.

Closed practice today and Wednesday. Next week is spring break. Practice will resume the following week.

Last year, we were done with Spring Ball at Spring Break. All the hiring and recruiting actions made it basically impossible this year to start on 2 Feb. Hope we get back to the "really early" Spring Ball next year. I believe it gives us an edge on the competition in terms of S&C and maximizing significant injury recovery time for players. It also provides early enrollees or players that switch positons the most amount of time to work on any coach identified weaknesses in their game before Fall practice begins. Go Apps!

I recently had an opportunity to hear Coach D and Doug Gillin. Both were really hoping that we can get a great crowd on March 30 for the last spring practice that day. I expect there will be some coming PR but I hope we can rally the Mountaineers to show up strong that day.
