Has Anybody Talked to Jerry Moore?

A bunch of questions.
Has anyone talked to him?
What is he doing?
Has he gotten over the sting of this and has he indicated to anyone that he wants to support our program?
Is the offer to be the "Ambassador" for the program still open to him from CC or did he burn that bridge?

I had heard (again rumor) that the trustees had discussed a statue of Jerry but were so mad after all that was said that they scrapped it for the near term.(again rumor)

Saw him last Friday at a banquet dinner. I was wearing an Appalachian tie, he eyed it and told me to never lose it. Great person.

I saw him out and about while Christmas shopping....just bumped into him. We chit-chatted for a few minutes...very pleasant. I took that opportunity to express my thoughts and feelings (abbreviated version) on how I felt about what happened. It helped me feel a little bit better to actually have the opportunity to vent my frustrations and share my support with HIM face-to-face. He was, as always, very gracious and appreciative.

As someone who falls in the "it's time" camp, I surely hope that's not the case. We need cooler heads to prevail on both sides of this issue, and for the most part, they have. Now, "it's time" to move on to the next chapter, which includes honoring what he did for the program and university. If JM turns it down at this time, the offer for a statue or Brewer-Moore Stadium needs to remain on the table until he chooses to accept it. He may never (though I doubt it), but when he does, we need to act as quickly as possible.

Saw him this morning (Wed) in Boone. He seemed well. Talking to folks, joking around, just being Jerry.
