Keep Ivey and as much of this current staff as possible

I don't know. Coach Drink... given that performance tonight, and how those kids responded, it would be short sighted not to keep the coaching staff that wants to be retained. Sweet Jesus... what a performance tonight. Keep Ivey, you are a fool if you don't.

Ivey, plus Jones and Clark.

Watts and holt would be cherries on top

I thought the defense had a great game plan and much more aggressive than normal. Never let an overrated QB get in a rhythm. Jones made some great calls tonight as did Clark

After the early jitters were worked out, the defense dialed in first.. and then the offense settled in to doing what they needed to do. Coach Drink has been given a rare opportunity to retain as much of staff as possible.

A gift has been given with what these coaches, and young men, given the turmoil of change, accomplished with this bowl game. To go out and dominate and show what App State football is all about tonight!; Well, in my coaches son book, you just don't show that effort the door unless hubris rules your roost.

A wise leader, keeps what works and pushes it to a higher level. Those core coaches are in place. Let's not blow this.

It’s all about the Benjamin’s now. How many can we afford to keep compared to what they may be offered somewhere else?

Louisville ‘s old DC was making 950,000,
WR coach making 600,000, lowest paid was 150-200,000.
Apps was 200k for Brian brown, 130’s for Ivey and Clark low 100s for holt, 100 for gasparto and 80k for cardwell and DJ Smith

Maybe it’s time for Trey Elder and/or Tweetsie Taylor to make a trip back up the mountain for the O?

That said, I agree with the sentiments of the board, my concern resides with the D. What will Drink do to maintain our dominance on that side of the ball.

We have a $1.35 million dollar budget for the all the assistant coaches per Drink’s new contract. It is going to be hard to keep them if any P5 schools come a calling. I believe we will see 1 or 2 more heading to Louisville.

1.35 and some private money that hopefully will make up the difference to keep a couple of them.

For the first time in a long time, the offense did more than it needed to do. They had their foot on the gas all game and never looked to slow down. During the season, the offense would've been content running into 9 man boxes when up by 20 in the 3rd quarter. But no, not in this game. App opened up the passing game and played how we thought they could do after the Penn State game.

Keep Ivey make him associate HC, keep Clark as offensive coordinator and teach him the Drinkwitz ways, hire most of his own position coaches.

Like I said on another thread and what “unknown” is suggesting, App wants Ivey to stay and has said as much. Ivey wants to be here, but has a competing offer. App is going to have to pay the piper and bump Iveys pay up.

If we can't pony up a matching offer to obtain coach Ivey & the other assistants still on ship, then this whole transition has been for naught. Go big or go home!🤞😀
