Sure. Good idea for coaches and players.GregPercussion wrote: ↑Tue Oct 16, 2018 3:38 pmKeep your head down and win, that's Satt's plan. Rankings, titles, and bowl games will come because of it.
It is not likely however all 3 teams play each other and only 1 of the 3 can play for their conference championship. The AAC west winner will be a 2 or 3 loss team very likely.Yosef84 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 8:58 amAs much as I appreciate the article and LOVE seeing App discussed this way, I just don't believe the PTB will ever select us over an unbeaten AAC team, especially over UCF following their highly publicized "disrespect" last year. Right now, there are actually still THREE unbeaten AAC teams, all of whom are ranked. Never know...maybe they'll knock each other off. Love the article though.
Very true. I'm really not trying to be a downer. Just saying that folks need to remember that the nature of this article is that he is making a prediction that seems unlikely. Even a one loss AAC champ probably goes ahead of us this year. Had we won against Penn State, that might be different. I'm not complaining. We are WAY ahead of schedule and I couldn't be happier with how the Apps are playing. Just win and let's the chips fall. Enjoy the ride!Goapps15 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:07 amIt is not likely however all 3 teams play each other and only 1 of the 3 can play for their conference championship. Exactly how I feel! I just stated that to clarify only. I agree it's a longshot. Just keep winning!Yosef84 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:13 amVery true. I'm really not trying to be a downer. We are all ECU fans this weekend......sixtoes9134 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:18 amUCF's strength of record is stronger. Be curious to see how soundly they thump ECU this weekend (or not).
Bingo. Only takes one or two upsets on championship weekend (although certainly any before then are welcome).97APP wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:30 amOne thing to keep in mind is that it's not the best G5 team, it's the best G5 conference champion.
I agree it's still a long shot, but we just need some help with the MWC and AAC championship games. IMO as a one loss team, we're in over a 2 loss champion from any G5 conference and any 1 loss champion from the MAC, CUSA or MAC.
Most people don't know that UCF is the 2nd largest university in the country. UCF, USF, and FIU are all in the top ten. Wonder what percentage is online and off campus for these schools?Rick83 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 8:20 amThis is awesome, if we continue to win this type of discussion will only intensify. Love being in the national discussion...this can only help with recruiting. Need UCF, USF and Cincy to stumble which will happen as AAC conference play moves through their schedule.
BTW, we are on vacation in Florida at the moment and my son wanted to visit UCF and they had an open house which we attended Saturday. UCF has a really strong Computer Science school which my son wanted to see. Anyway, to the important stuff, it was mentioned in the various presentations and sessions, multiple times, about their "National Championship" in football last year and how their winning streak is going to extend into 2019. There were even T-shirts for sale with 2017 National Champions available.
I did not realize this. This makes it even more of a possibility. If we run the table and end with a low 20's ranking, and a two or three loss Houston wins the AAC, we have a real shot. BEAT UL!!!!EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 9:41 amBingo.
