What the hello is wrong with our fans on the East Side? I’m here and none are cheering. You would think this was the home side at GW.

Our section (111) was not as rowdy as usual yesterday, not many on their feet, but most were cheering. Early in the game we were getting loud on 3rd down I thought, but after the big lead it fell off. Several times the west side tried to start the App - State chant, but we didn't respond because we were on offense. We don't get loud when we have the ball. I lost my voice at PSU & UNCC, and think we will give em hell for conference games starting Saturday I hope. Beat South Alabama!

I'm in 111 and wasn't able to make the game, so I bear some responsibility.

The students need some football fan 101 lessons. You don't start chants when we have the ball.

Nor do you chant App State on the same side within .5 seconds of each other

I think it always takes the students to about mid season to get the hang of things. You've got to realize that probably 1/3 are new freshman and theres no newsletter that goes out to tell them how and when to do things at a football game.

It was a FCS tune-up game for the fans, too.

The cheerleaders need to get the “App - State” cheer right. From the East Side, it looked like they were holding up the placards that said “App” and “State” within .5 seconds of each other.

There should be no such thing as a tune up game. The GW game is just as important as the Penn State game. We would have realized that had the Puppy Dog supset us.

You’re not wrong, but it’s hard to argue when the scoreboard reads 72-7.

A couple of us kept the program in our lap and cheered our buttski's off everytime one of the guys deep down the depth chart did something well. This game was a great experience and confidence builder for guys who may not get a chance to even get in a game the rest of the season. Glad we had this on the schedule.
