We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.
Let’s go make history.

Let’s go make history.
This time next week we will say we were truly blessed to have witnessed one of the greatest upsets in College Football history.

IF we beat Penn State, it'll be an upset, but not one of the biggest of all time at all. With that said, I'd be happy to argue uts place in history after it happened!

Probably not near the story of Michigan. We are FBS and PSU is 10 not 5 like Michigan.
But I don’t expect much of a close game with the new QB anyway.

After watching that rookie QB for Hawaii last night and how he helped them dominate CSU, you never know what is possible. That bunch last night looked nothing like the experts were expecting.
So pumped college football season is here!

As I told the smug front desk clerk in Knoxville two years ago, I don't show up to watch my team lose.
Let's do this.
Let's do this.

Re: Let’s go make history.
Bleacher report has us losing 47-10. If that's the final score, I'll be thoroughly disappointed. I expect us to beat the spread at a minimum.

With all the question marks at QB, OL, DE, and LB there are a wide range of outcomes. I'm not going to be surprised if we lose by 35 or by 4, of course I'm ever hopeful for a shocker.

Re: Let’s go make history.
I'd feel more confident if this game were played last season. Unknown at the QB and other positions worries me. I doubt we see a 66-13 type game but don't expect to see a 34-32 type game either. Early prediction from me Penn State 35 App State 16 with one 50+ yard FG from the good guys.

If you're referring to a game played on September 1, of 2007 then you are correct.Appstate88 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 8:49 pmThis time next week we will say we were truly blessed to have witnessed one of the greatest upsets in College Football history.

We must prepare to pick up their blitz. I expect them to come after Zac.

Re: Let’s go make history.
I totally get your rationale except Lamb would have thrown for his usual 100 yards and no touchdowns against them like he did in all our big name games/\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 27, 2018 10:24 amI'd feel more confident if this game were played last season. Band schedule says no away games except for the Sun Belt title game (if away) and bowl game.

Re: Let’s go make history.
Thomas seems to have a stronger arm than Taylor. Exactly how that will be useful in this game, if the receivers can get past the line of scrimmage, will determine how close the game will be. Trench play should be comparable as per usual, but the issue as of late has been the inability for the receivers to get into their routes in time. Hopefully the staff is stacking the box, pressing the receivers, and playing safeties up in practice because that's exactly what Penn State will be doing.

Re: Let’s go make history.
My only hope is we play to win not not to lose, going too conservative. Satterfield has shown both a times. He's shown the trick plays and the exotic schemes and he's also shown zone run up the gut/quick slant over and over again even when it's not working.

Re: Let’s go make history.
Need to take advantage of their attrition in the front seven to get Jalin/Williams/whoever else some yards, which will in turn help the WR's.
But who knows, we might come out full air raid to set up the run. Never quite know with a new QB.
McSorely is a sneaky runner like Lamb so I hope we don't get burned defensively.
