Merging Topics

Just a note to let everyone know that over the next hour or so I am going to be merging a lot of these topics. There are simply too many threads saying the same things and it is getting hard to follow.

I am not deleting any posts, just merging topics.

Bear with me while I try to wade through this.

Thanks.

I merged a good number of topics into the "Jerry Moore Will Not Return" thread.

All the posts retain the title of the thread to which they were originally posted, but now they are all in one place.

I'd like to ask that we try to contain the conversation to this thread going forward. It will be much easier to follow if we aren't clicking on 12 different threads.

Thank you for containing the cannibalism, its becoming overwhelming and embarrassing.

Now I can just ignore the whole thread!

Why merge? Even with Football season now over, it's the busiest this place has been all season :D . Or are phpbb forums just a pain to navigate when multiple threads are in play? :?

I have noticed this as well. It seems there has been much less discussion here this season. I wonder what it is, the forum switching over (however, I have also noticed the same at Appfan), lack of interest in the program? I seem to think it is the latter but I am not sure why. I mean we haven't been as good as 05-07 but we are consistent contenders. I don't get it, do that many people lose interests if do not win a natty ever year? Have people lost interest because we are not yet FBS? If so, it makes me wonder where all those "fans" will be once we go FBS and have a couple tough seasons?

Guns
Abortion
Drugs
and whatnot.
Just trying to see if I can rile anyone since 89 closed the Bob Costas thread.

Think many fans are tired of waiting for us to become FBS year after year after year. Always some reason to believe it may happen any minute, then it doesn't. Kind of beyond the limits with some fans patience.

Combine that crowd with the "stay" crowd and you've got a boiling pot of black and gold sludge!

Attendance was still high all season, even for our playoff game (for App standards). I would say loss of interest is not the reason.
