As bad as Georgia Southern is, we're not consistent. Coastal should have been a blow out by half time. Idaho and Texas State nail bitters. I could easily see is playing down to them and the game being closer than it should be in the end.

With our inconsistant play, i hope it is not the perfect time for a get-right game for the gumroots.

"Should" be. Never underestimate a rival with absolutely nothing to lose. A win over App is the only thing remotely salvageable for that program at the moment.

The Georgia Southern game will be the one game for them this year that they could actually get some satisfaction by pulling off the upset. We better expect them to play their best game of the year when they come to Boone.

I really don't think Saturday was the same "inconsistency" that we've been seeing earlier in the season. Previously, the issue has been primarily the offense being unable to get on track. The offense really was not the problem Saturday, even with our RBs dinged up. It looks to me like CCU did a good job of scouting our injuries and exploited the middle of the field which was left vulnerable. Yes, even Duck got burned once or twice, but almost all of those big plays by CCU were exploiting the injured safeties / LBs.

I'm far from being a football analyst, so maybe someone with a better eye can comment, but does this make sense? I was really frustrated during the game also, but the injuries really do add a perspective.

I would agree 100% with your assessment. We didn't play assignment football on defense. Most of that was inexperienced guys getting out of position and veterans having to compensate.

His tweets are pretty classic! Can't tell if he is having fun or a complete tool, says to bring on alabama. Also, the shotgun is gone triple option back! Whatever makes for a fun read.
