Why no replays on million dollar scoreboard

I don't understand why no replays are being shown on the new scoreboard! Other schools do replays. Do they not know how to operate it yet!
Another thing is they announce scores from around the country and they show games that have no scores but to be played later. Duh?

There were replays after every big play. The only time there were no replays were when a play was under review.

or while an injured player is on the field. People don't seem to grasp that.

But why not?? Why not show the replay to let the crowd see if it was targeting, if the defender did make the catch before going out of bounds, to see the spot of the ball in the important 4th down drive.
Those are all important aspects of the game the fans should be able to see. As the OP said, we have a million (more like 2+) scoreboard; why not utilize it?

Could be a conference rule about showing replays while under review.

I searched online, but couldn't find anything specific to the Sun Belt. From what I read, it does appear to be up to each conference to decide whether it will allow replays of plays under review.

I was quite angry at the targeting call during the game because I didn't see a replay. From my seats, looked like he tackled the legs in a text book tackle. However, when I got home and saw the replay, it was the right call per the rule. Stupid rule, maybe -- but the right call. Had they shown the replay, it would have likely made a lot of the angry fans (myself included) less angry.

They occasionally show replays, but I agree with the general notion that they don't do so often enough.

Actually not every play but yes, they did play replays. They blew it big time though on the screwed up punt snap NMSU had. I, along with apparently most everyone in the stadium really wanted to see what the heck had happened. They started to show it then immediately cut it off to switch to something else, inciting a rain of boos from the crowd. It wasn't until yesterday when I rewatched the game on ESPN 3 that I found out the snap hit the man in motion as he crossed behind the center.
I think most stadiums will not run replays of the controversial plays, but I've never agreed with that. American fans are not like crazed soccer fans that will riot if the wind changes direction. In the case of this game, replays may have helped people realize that the refs actually did a great job. I sat down to watch the replay with a notepad because there were several moments when I was sure the refs blew the call. I could find only one that they reviewed and somehow still didn't get right. The targeting call was a good call. Obvious on the replay but totally questionable from the stands. The reversal on what would have been Hayes 4th interception was correct also. He didn't maintain possession. From the east stands that looked like a terrible call.
Anyway, back to bashing the board operator...we have to do a more professional job.

Disagree, never been in a stadium except for KBS when they would NOT show replays on reviews or tough calls. Watch any game on TV and you can tell when they show reviews by the crowd noise.
They cut that replay you mentioned off to show a NC Energy co-op ad. That add shows a crowd from -wait for it-
TENNESSEE! have got to get that changed.

They have never shown replays that would cause the crowd to possibly respond negatively.

Other than a player being hurt there really isn't a good reason not to offer replays. I'd like to see us show replays as much as possible. It's just one of the small things that we can do to enhance the fan experience that truly has no cost. I'd much rather see the last play than a abbreviated clip of Lamb or Stringer trying to pump up the crowd.

I'll be honest... I don't think the person working the video board has learned everything yet about that board... A whole lotta Spinning "A"... (Gulp) started to be Chattanooga like.

I could do without the rap and Hip Hop played before the game.

My thought on the targeting (from memory only) was that the db had taken a rib level path to hit the receiver who was upright. The receiver curled down into a position not to take the big hit at the same time the db had committed to his path.Once the receiver dropped into the fetal position, he got hit high. Is that how it looked?

Anyone else notice they didn't stop the clock on some of the first downs for both teams?
