***FRIDAY UPDATE***
Whelp, pack the rain gear, have it on hand, just in case Ma Nature doesn't play well with the modeling. As of Friday afternoon, we have some timing differences in the data. Thus, I don't see a wash out, but, some patchy precip will be possible at times. The main rain event, should hold until later Saturday night and Sunday. It still appears, no steady or heavy rain is expected during the game.
It's Boone, and as usual, a lot will depend on which side of the mountain you are standing! Dense fog possible early Saturday morning as you come up both 321 and 421 and as you head off the mountain Saturday evening or early Sunday AM.
Either way, it's great to be a MOUNTAINEER!

--------------------------
I do believe we have a fuller understanding of how this whole tropical mess will be playing out for the weekend and early next week. I am pretty confident that the overall game day experience should be dry.
Increasing clouds will be noticed through the day, and there will be a small chance for rain by the end of the game. In terms of the big ticket heavy rain stuff, that won't be seen in the High Country until later Sunday.
I can't think of any good weather related reason why fans shouldn't show up, put butts in seats, and enjoy Homecoming!
---------------
8 AM: Partly cloudy - mid 50s
10 AM: Partly cloudy - low 60s
Noon: Partly sunny - mid 60s
KICKOFF: Mostly cloudy - low 70s
HALFTIME: Mostly cloudy - low 70s
END OF GAME: Cloudy to mostly cloudy, ch rain - upper 60s.
*** I'll update Thursday and Friday
GO MOUNTAINEERS!
