No kidding. I have to think that if you took the entire football team and had them do this on campus yesterday and today (yesterday since there are a lot of folks with no class on Friday), you'd see a definite increase in attendance. I know it takes time out for them to do it but man they'd get it back with a bigger crowd.

We did that back in '07 for one game for basketball (except we weren't on the basketball team) and it worked wonders on attendance for that game. The university should have some sort of student athletics booster club that has the sole responsibility of promoting attendance at games in a grass roots fashion. Perks could include signed memorabilia from the teams or a meet and greet with some of the players or something to encourage volunteers.
