They thought this was a bigger deal than Black Saturday.

I'm fine with this for one game. I'm sure the players love it, helps with recruiting, etc.

Best thing about the image though is the AppState white/yellow words-put-together- logo. I wish we did it that way everywhere. Hate seeing a space between the two with yellow/white instead of white/yellow like on our official website. Don't ask me why but this just looks 10x better.

So will the full design release be a black block A or a white block A? I am going with a black one which will look great.

I put money on the decal being the Yosef head since the logo is gold just makes sense with them saying all gold everything!!

I like it tho something different once a year doesn't hurt anyone! I know for a fact the players love this and if it helps kids come to the mountain I'm all for it

I'd gladly take this over another white out

This would be my guess as well ---

I would expect the black Yosef on the helmet. I too think it's fine once a year to do something different as it appears the players dig it, but don't loose our tradition of Black Saturdays and yes I think of all Saturdays as Black Saturday at The Rock.

I wouldn't mind the gold Yosef, but here is a crazy, out of the box thought. What about a Gold Block A?

Small point to give in on, though.

A block A is meant to be white. God created the block A to be white. It has been recorded down through the ages that the helmet is to be black. The coming together of the white block A and the black helmet is just perfection. It is just the way things were meant to be. We should not disturb perfection
This week we will wear the yellow helmet and it will be fine to stray from what is right and just ever so often, but we MUST I say MUST return to the perfection of the almighty white block A on the black helmet.

Okay, at the risk of being pummeled or praised or just laughed off the board... what about a block A on one side and a Yosef on the other? Have we ever done anything like that?

I long for an old gold or old gold incorporated into a throw back. I know it's unlikely but I can hope. Oh at least that yaller has changed shades from the school bus of a few years ago. I remember when gold helmets were the norm .
