THIS is what Yosef is all about! Thanks to all of you who have made scholarships possible for kids like this!

I call him "Mr. Biltmore House". He is the great grandson of George W Vanderbilt who built Biltmore in 1895.
Happy for him. Bill earned his scolly the hard way!

That's exactly why I'm so happy for him. I've heard people say "well his family has money and he's in state so it's not that bad" or things to that effect. That's not what this is about. This young man has been here four years as a walkon. Bleeding and fighting alongside his brothers even though he wasn't a starter and was playing out of his natural position (LB). Not many walkons would do that at a program like App, that not only plays to a high level but has a task master like Mike running the very difficult S&C program. He could have gone elsewhere and seen more playing time or been moved back to his original position but it wasn't about that or about money. It was about respect, reward, and showing what a true teammate is. He is a great young man, a warrior, and someone who has earned my and many other people's complete respect. Congrats!!!!

Warrior shouldn't be used in describing athletics IMO, but I appreciate the sentiments.

The term warrior is not applied to only those in the military or who have been in battle. There are more definitions listed than that. Here's a couple of examples. I think # 2 applies in both of those cases.

http://www.dictionary.com/browse/warrior

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/warrior

2. One who is engaged aggressively or energetically in an activity, cause, or conflict.

2. a person who shows or has shown great vigor, courage, or aggressiveness, as in politics or athletics.

Well put, Moose. Bill has worked his tail off at App. It's easy to see from the video the respect his teammates have for him. Bill's earned every dime of that scholarship and then some. I'm proud to be part of supporting his kind of dedication, drive, discipline, and determination.
