Re: Defense Version 2017
When Satt took over and transitioned to FBS 2017 was the year we were building towards. So many players on this team that have been 3+ year starters.
Re: Defense Version 2017
It certainly appears we will have at least 4 strong linebackers in Boggs, Stringer, Flory and Fehr. I love our secondary with Mr. Duck, Gibbs and company! Mr. Stout in the middle at NG. Should be another great Mountaineer D next season. Can't wait!

Re: Defense Version 2017
This year it appears App will have more experienced players (Juniors and Seniors) playing than I can remember. Gotta develop a lot of those young studs too as there will be lots of holes to fill in 2018. As for 2017, this could be a really special year (not that the last two weren't). Go Apps!

Re: Defense Version 2017
The only question I have about this defense is depth at NT behind Stout. Otherwise I think we're loaded. At LB, don't forget Townes, and I'll add Akeem Davis to the list of guys I'm already comfortable with.

Can't wait. Summer is great but watching that ticking clock to the first game is brutal!

If Townes can stay healthy and keep his assignments straight, he's going to be a difference maker for sure. He's playing OLB though.EastHallApp wrote:The only question I have about this defense is depth at NT behind Stout. Otherwise I think we're loaded. I know Boggs and Law had gelled together really well the last 3 years. Looking forward to seeing these new guys mix with Boggs. Always hear coaches talk about how smart he is as a player, I expect him to bring along the younger guys quickly.
