For The Second Year In A Row

Unread post by zim262 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 8:37 am

For the second year in a row, during a game, someone has stolen the magnets off of my car in the Raley lot. I know I probably should have taken them off but I normally don't take them off in the other 99.999% of the places that I park. You would think that they would be safe at your own place but I guess not. They even stole the magnet for my son's elementary school. So I guess to the person that took them, enjoy the thought that every time you look at them you know in your heart that you are a thief.

If you have any other stickers on your car -- like Obama/Romney, NC State, Wake, Carolina, etc... that could prompt people to steal them. Or it could just be some drunk students on the way by. Who knows. I would think they would be safe among most App fans. Just take a few seconds and throw 'em in the trunk before you leave so you don't have to worry about it. Go Apps!

I was on my way home from a game last year and pulled into a gas station to get a coffee. This is on 220 about 9:30 and only two cars in the lot. I got out of the car and there were two couples with a JMU sticker on the back of their car next to me. One of them had a JMU shirt on. When I came out they were gone and so were my magnets.

My magnets were stolen last year so now I always take them off.... But while in savannah last week I had forgotten to take them off. On Saturday morning I ran outside to make sure my magnets were still on the car and my whole car was gone!!!! It was towed!!! I got it back after the game, magnets intact!!! Hah

Lost mine two years ago at the STINK.... was actually happy about it. First, they didn't key the car or do other damage (amazing). Secondly, I convinced myself that some GSU people probably wanted to upgrade to some quality magnets.... actually considered taking some extras down with me this year to attach to the city limits sign on my way out of town.
