Does anyone know what time the press conference is today? And will it be covered via the App State Network?

Excited to see and hear the details.

Excited this is happening today. Hope it can become sort of a G5 version in State rivalry game similar to:

Clemson - South Carolina
Georgia - Georgia Tech
Florida - Florida State

Good for both programs and fans, to build a "same state hate" rival from a different conference.

As we learned from our years playing WCU, it will only remain a rivalry if the games are competitive and the fans buy in and show up with intensity. Then you get a history going with thrilling finishes, memorable plays, and controversy, etc... I wish this series had started the past couple of seasons. Our challenge is to remain at a high level to be able to win our share of these opportunities. At that point we'll have something special.

Agree, but at least we're at a high level now. ECU isn't. We'd have smoked them this year.

I totally agree. Definitely believe there is enough "hate" between the two schools to make it an annual rivalry game!

IF (big IF) we can get a decently long term H&H going with EZU and both teams stay competitive year in and year out (told you it was a BIG IF) what do we fight for? The Old Brown Jug is out, how about the "Battle of the Beards?" Hahahahaha

Agreed.

Also, be sure to check out Bret's work on journalnow.com. I'm told that Bret's story last week on the App-ECU series pulled in massive pageviews, so much so that the higher ups at the Journal's parent company, BH Media, took notice.
