The Mountaineers captured the program’s first Sun Belt Conference Championship in 2016 and earned a berth in the 2016 Camellia Bowl. App State (9-3) faces Toledo (9-3) on Saturday, Dec. 17 in Montgomery, Ala. Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN.
No doubt, the Miami game helped put us on top.

While the Miami game helped, we were still 23,000 ahead of stAte which is about 1 more home game for them. It is nice to see our attendance increase, hopefully we keep it up next year.

I think the Wake game will be a large crowd next year...maybe not as large as Miami...but it should be well attended. I know some Wake people that are planning to come.

I will be interested to see how a lack of Miami will affect season tickets

I actually think the Wake game will be just as large of a crowd, I would say larger if I thought we could pack anymore in. This is a continuation of a rivalry that many of us fondly remember, except now they have to come to the Rock. We always played Wake tough and those were always away games. I think this game has more local juice than even the once powerful Miami coming to town. I look for a packed house and a win.

If you think you're getting a ticket in the stands for the Wake game and aren't a season ticket holder or a close friend of one you're going to be disappointed.

I'm actually going to add a seat to my season ticket order next year to be able to bring a Wake fan relative with us to that game. In his defense, he's been to App games with me before and pulls for App when we're not playing Wake. He took me, as a guest, to one of the App/Wake games in Winston back in the day and we won in OT...I think it was when we had Jeremia & Reaves at QB. Now we get the Deacs at The Rock! Can't wait...it's going to be awesome!Saint3333 wrote:If you think you're getting a ticket in the stands for the Wake game and aren't a season ticket holder or a close friend of one you're going to be disappointed.
