Please buy Camellia Bowl tickets even if you can't go
I haven't seen any updates on AppStateSports about ticket sales but it's important that we sell-out our allotment. They're only $30 so please contact the ASU Ticket Office and buy some tickets even just one...it will help with future bowl selections and will help the athletic department budget.

So last year if I understood we sold all we asked for, 6000 or something like that. Estimates say we had 8K or so at th game. What else could we have done last year to effect the selection process this year? I say nothing. We are in a shitty position plain and simple. I am happy to be going back to Montgomery btw but I don't think anything we as fans did had any influence on that outcome.

Just one bowl trip does not a solid trend make in these things with a young team at the FBS level. Good sales this year, and continued solid sales in years, and games, to come, builds a programs reputation. We are still in "Bowl infancy"... We keep on, keeping on... and we'll get noticed as a draw by other bowl committees and their bowls quest for success.

Can't make the trip but purchased my ticket. If anyone needs one extra, let me know and I will gladly transfer so the seat does not go empty.
I do have an odd request - if anyone has an extra ticket stub after the game, would they mind sending it my way? Would love to have one for the App memorabilia collection!

Re: Please buy Camellia Bowl tickets even if you can't go
If we don't keep our numbers up then future bowls will see year one as an aberration because of the excitement since it was our first bowl. We need to keep our numbers up, that's the best way to help build the program. I for one, prefer this bowl mainly because of the location and great TV slot. New Orleans needs to clean up their city (street crime has been trending horribly over the last several years) and Orlando would be fun but it's a terrible TV situation and the city's not going to care about that bowl...at all. So thank you Camilla Bowl and Montgomery for picking us!appbio91 wrote:So last year if I understood we sold all we asked for, 6000 or something like that. Estimates say we had 8K or so at th game. Bought 3 tickets, and at this point attendance is not looking good given some work issues. I would rather buy and attend, but I at least bought!

Also don't forget that these four bowls will not be the only bowls the SBC will be tied to for ten years they will rotate with other conferences. We need to build a case now for future years.
