Team Hotel? Marching Mountaineers?
I read that App would practice at a different facility this year and we would have a different team hotel. Where is our team hotel?
Also just checking to confirm that the band will be at the game. I've been hugely disappointed that the band hasn't traveled to big games like Clemson and Tennesse. Surely the Band will be at the Bowl. Can anyone confirm?

Re: Team Hotel? Marching Mountaineers?
I know last year the reason the band didn't travel as much was to save money for the bowl game. This year, I am hoping it's the same deal.
I believe last year they stayed at the Renaissance.. so this year, it should be the Embassy Suites if they give them to other hotel.

Re: Team Hotel? Marching Mountaineers?
Johnny Williams, the executive director of the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl in Montgomery, Ala., said there are plans to make sure the lead-up to the Dec. 17 game with Toledo (9-3) is different for the Mountaineers (9-3).
“They’ll be staying at a different hotel, practicing at a different place,” Williams said. “Some of the team is new, too. None of the freshmen have been here.”

Re: Team Hotel? Marching Mountaineers?
Last year the two team hotels were Renaissance and Embassy Suites. The travel packages list Renaissance as the hotel. They are across from each other downtown near union station the waterfront. We stayed at Embassy last year which was the Ohio hotel. There were plenty of App fans there and it was close enough to get to everything else.
The Pep Ralleys are at Union Station right by the hotels. The Christmas Parade is after downtown as well.
The Aviator Bar will be ASU's local gathering spot. It's off Commerce St across from the Renaissance.

Game Day Fan Fest was next to Patterson Field across the street from the Crampton Bowl

Re: Team Hotel? Marching Mountaineers?
I posted the questions originally and still haven't seen info about the band. If they don't make the trip i will be very disappointed.
And again the WS newspaper article quoted the Bowl as saying App was in a different hotel this year.
