We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

What to do to honor Gerald?

Unread post by YesAppCan » Wed Nov 09, 2016 10:09 pm

I can about bet that Gerald would want contributions given in his memory to go to the Yosef Club... It is my hope that every Yosef member would donate extra (whatever you can) this year and tag it in "In memory of Gerald". I will... Who will join me?

EDIT: This came out later...

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Appalachian State University Foundation, Inc. for the Gerald & Julia Adams Endowment for Athletic Scholarship, in care of Advancement Services, ASU Box 32014, Boone, NC 28608. Gifts may also be made online at www.givenow.appstate.edu .

Online condolences may be sent to the Adams family at www.hamptonfuneralnc.com .

I gave because Gerald asked me years ago. I will honor his memory by continuing to give.

I haven't seen what Julia has requested be done in that regard. I will await her direction on that and will likely also make another donation to the endowed athletic scholarship that Gerald funded some years ago.

I actually just spoke to Ginny at the Yosef Club. She said to look for an email today/tomorrow. They were finalizing some things and that their would be some information about how/where to give.

I am going to personally ask all my App State friends to give $54 for the year he graduated.

What a great man. What a great champion for our school and an example of DOING.

This world is all about getting on Facebook and complaining, Gerald was all about DOING. We need to take a more active role in the things and people we love.
