Asking those of you in the know for hotel recommendations for potential bowl sites. I've booked one for New Orleans. Need advice for the others. Thanks.

In New Orleans, the Catahoula Hotel on Union Street (located in the Central Business District - ie CBD) will give App State fans a 20% discount if we book at least 10 rooms. The Super Dome is within eye sight and the French Quarter is within walking distance. It's a 35 Room Boutique hotel which we have stayed in on prior visits. And of course, being in New Orleans, it does have two bars.
We booked our room for Fri and Saturday nights.

Double Tree in Montgomery is walkable to restaurants and the stadium and is $170/night compared to $300/night at the Marriott. Marriott is nicer and will likely be the App headquarters like last year.

I have booked for Mobile, as it is the only bowl I could go to this year. I got a room at Microtel Inn North Mobile for $75 per night.

If you are on an even tighter budget for the Camelia, there is a really nice Drury Inn and Suites just a couple of miles out and you can get 2 nights for around $250 with AAA discount. Also, there is a nice Country Inn and Suites on Chantilly Parkway for around $200 for 2 nights. Wherever App lands, let's get App Nation rolling that way !!!!!

I stayed at the Sleep Inn and Suites-Montgomery last year and have made return reservations for this year. Two nights are $198.28. That includes taxes. Was about 5 minute drive to the stadium and there is a parking lot right across from the stadium.

I tried to book a hotel room in downtown Montgomery near the riverwalk in case we're headed back to the Camellia Bowl but there's nothing available. We stayed at the Hampton Inn last year and it was nice to have everything in walking distance. Guess I'll have to book something further out of town and hope for some rooms to open up downtown.

Rooms will open after locations are announced. Embassy Suites downtown Montgomery was great last year.

How was (if there is) Uber/Lyft in Montgomery last year? I'm sure there is no issue in Orlando or New Orleans.
