At this point of the season I can't say enough how impressive this defense is. They have shown up week in and week out and have been just dominate. All the interchangeable parts and there is no drop off in production is just fun to watch... This group is special. They are just flat getting after people... I think Troy is in for a long night again this group!

Probably not without major Style Points. Unfortunately that is the way the system works. If you want to really break into the top 25 you better be slaughtering SBC opponents every week.

Our defense is very good though.

We have a really good defense, but it will be tested this week. The Troy QB can sling it, they have a big offensive line, and they have a big physical running back. I think we are up for the challenge, but I think it will be a close game.

Not sure why, but I'm not going to be surprised to see our defense hold them to 14 points all the way to allowing 35. Football is a funny game, and we're only a play or two away each game against tough opponents from winning by 10 or losing by 10.

That's what makes this two year run so special, the margin for error is so small.

I really wish this was true, but I think we would have had to beat either Tennessee or Miami to do that, the only other way is if we win out and beat a great opponent like a ranked WMU in a bowl game.

Troy might in the AP poll, as I believe they're currently something like 28 or 29. We don't have more than a few votes in either poll, so it's very unlikely we'll be ranked next week with a win. But maybe we can score some of those votes that have been going to Troy.

We need to win this one and worry about the rest later. This will be a test of 2 potential top 25 teams. I am expecting it to be close just like last year. Go APP!
