Title of thread says it all?

We could be really good if we played an entire game.

Can't we enjoy a win before folks start complaining

I, for one, am appreciative of the effort put forth by the guys today. They came out of it with a win and without too many injuries in preparation for next week's game at Troy. When App wins, we all win, so go Mountaineers!

7-2. 35-10. We didn't overlook a bad team. I'm happy.

Why can't the guys ever seem to cover the spread? You would think Vegas would have learned by now that App coasts with a big lead and their spreads are too high.

We do what we need to do to win and that's called winning. Our players don't give a darn about the spread. Just win baby. GOAPPSGO!!!!!!

Guess some guys want us to throw up a 50 spot on someone. What looks good is the participation report. Are we playing guys significant minutes? I just hated that the punt miscue put our defense in a position to give up a TD.

I didn't watch the entire game, but it looked like Akeem Davis played the entire 2nd half. Was stringer hurt? I know that we played second stringers really early today, but it seemed like Davis and papenheim were out there way more than usual.

I want our guys to play a full game at their potential regardless of the score. The score is NOT what I am basing my comments on.

I ask anyone if your kid comes home with a B on their grades and you know they could get an A, they tell you "oh I passed by 15 pts so I didnt need to worry about doing my best for the entire course" is that good enough? No, It's not. All I am asking is that they stay focused and play to their potential for a full game. Why is that so bad?

We'll play 60 minutes when we have to

How do you measure "playing to their full potential?" You are making a comparison of something that's completely in the control of the student to something that's dependent on so much more, i.e. teammates, play calling, injuries, considering the next game, etc. If you're simply talking about not making mistakes and committing penalties then I'm in agreement but football is not something in which every player, or coach even, will execute perfectly on every play. The objective is to win to the game and negate mistakes. It is not as easy as some on message boards want to make it. Your kid's classes don't game plan against him or her and make adjustments in mid semester. It's not a fair comparison. We are winning, be happy. We will have to play better to beat Troy and I'm sure our players and coaches are aware of that but, still, we only have to play good enough to win.

28 teams currently have at least 7 wins and we are one of them. That's all that matters

"Regardless of the score"...
THE SCORE has a great deal to do with how you play the game...
