The official site won't allow me in. The screen is covered with an ad to sell tickets for us to a bowl game. I realize it is going to be broadcast on ESPN3, but I seem to recall it was going to be broadcast on one of the cable/satellite channels in addition.

Any help would be appreciated.

AT&T.

I have DirecTV and I haven't been able to get ESPN3 this year. I get the same error message each time. No one, anywhere seems to have the fix.

The first year or so in our move up, I got ESPN3 due to my Windstream account. Then Windstream dropped the relationship with ESPN3, but my DISH carrier picked it up and I've watched all or part of each of the broadcasts that ESPN3 carried. Today, I spent over an hour talking to DISH trying to be able to log in to no avail. The last one was an African-American lady who said I had not been watching the games on ESPN3. I finally just hung up after saying a few choice words under my breath. Monday, if I can find time I'm going to spend all morning trying to get this crap worked out, assuming we have another ESPN3 televised game.
At any rate, I listened to most of the game on WKBC. It was loud and clear.

I use DirecTV login credentials and I have had never had problem.

If you get DirecTV and have AT&T cell you can combine bills and get a discount and if you have a smartphone with data you can get unlimited data if that is a need. I have the cheapest DirecTV plan so I don't get ESPNU but otherwise can watch any other ESPN channel I care to watch. I drop ESPN in the offseason and ESPN3 stops of course, but as soon as I activate ESPN in the fall I have ESPN3 again. No problems.

As I stated, McL, I have had no problem accessing ESPN3 for the past number of years using my DISH account/and or Windstream and password, but last afternoon, there was no space in which to place my password. Over the last 3 or 4 years, I have watched every game in part or whole either on my ESPN3, over my DISH in using various stations or in person. When some folks on this MMB were having problems with clarity of the ESPN3 picture, my was crystal clear. The first year, my Windstream account allowed me to use ESPN3. ESPN3 has not cost me anything at all above my regular bill.

I had problems getting into Watch ESPN last night when I got home. I was going to watch the end of the Georgia game (wife had the TV tied up). I finally had to logout from within the ESPN page and close out because I couldn't find a place to re-enter my credentials. Once I did that I logged into DirecTV and then started from scratch with ESPN, entering which TV provider I had. Once I did that, it went right in.

I understand the problem. I think it may be DishTV backend. When I need to verify my account the ESPN webpage on my desktop computer sends me to DirecTV and before that to Time Warner to verify my account and then I am sent back to ESPN. A cookie stores this info so I need not do this that often. I am thinking Dish is not communicating at the start which is why you are being asked to confirm.

Have you tried a different computer? Try a different web browser. Are you using an ad-blocker? Does it work on a smartphone? Just trying to troubleshoot a bit for you which is near impossible without being by your computer.
