I read on the GSU board that the student section threw cups and trash at the App players when exiting the field at the half. Can anyone confirm?

Yeah it was a few cups. Not that big of a deal. One hit a player.ASU-FTW wrote:I read on the GSU board that the student section threw cups and trash at the App players when exiting the field at the half. Can anyone confirm?
Phototgrapher friend on the field told me they chucked ice at our cheer leaders also.

Re: Those who attended last night's game ---
It was my first time seeing Paulson since their additions. It is pretty sweet.
When we scored our 27th point the place emptied. It was like a fire alarm went off.
We only really got yelled at while walking down the road. Frat guys in pickup trucks screaming F U and stuff. Everyone else was fine. We did go to a GSU tailgate in their alum lot to see Chuck's neighbor and some guy came up and told us to leave. The others told us to stay.
Our crowd chanted "whose house, our house." I couldn't bring myself to join in.

I heard that on our fumbled field goal that someone in the stands was aiming a laser pointer in Critcher's face and that is why he turned away.

It was my first time at Paulson and I actually thought most folks were really nice. The crowd emptied out like crazy in the second half. The faithful who stayed thanked us for coming and wished us a safe trip. A few drunk college kids talked a little trash, but not many.
I didn't care for the "whose house, our house" chant from our section. Felt like we were kicking the fans while they were down. Maybe if the GaSo folks I'd met had been ruder, I could have gotten on board.

Were you at the game in '07 when they beat us? I will never feel bad about giving it back to them every chance we get. Their band, their BAND was taunting us with that chant and acting like pure fools after that game and I will never forget it.

Looked like the standard holder looking back at the kicker waiting for the nod to say, "Ready to kick"NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote:I heard that on our fumbled field goal that someone in the stands was aiming a laser pointer in Critcher's face and that is why he turned away.

Should have been my initial thought. Hard to always detect on here.App91 wrote:Pretty sure that was tongue-in-cheek/\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote:Looked like the standard holder looking back at the kicker waiting for the nod to say, "Ready to kick"NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote:I heard that on our fumbled field goal that someone in the stands was aiming a laser pointer in Critcher's face and that is why he turned away.

I was there, actually. And I've had words with GaSo fans in Boone a time or two. It was just hard to muster the venom last night.AppinATL wrote:Were you at the game in '07 when they beat us? I am just glad this group yelled with correct grammar and did not use the wrong homophone.appchicago wrote:

This is my very generic signature added to each post.

I expect that is by design........and of course can certainly cause trouble.HeffnerIV wrote:It's inconceivable to me that their admin keeps the student section behind the visitor bench.

How was the canned music situation there last night? Seemed much better than ours.

Re: Those who attended last night's game ---
I've been to every game we have played at Ga Southern since they joined the conference except one. I have never really had any issues but never could figure out why the student section is behind the opponents bench. And visitors were placed beside the student section which I also thought was asking for trouble. Now that we are placed in the second deck things seemed better. Overall another good experience last night.
And a little piped in music. Just enough to where I really didn't notice. Us having a small part of our band there really helped. It also appeared their band was piped in through the loudspeaker which I did like.

Last and only time I was there I was on the sideline and the student jerks threw ice and junk at us the whole game.
