Wow - good luck!!! - stay away from students and young alumni - They will have all day to get tanked - try to stay in a group of Mountaineers ---WVAppsfan wrote:I am pleased to say that I am going to make the journey to Statesboro, anyone else going?
Where are you tailgating?appchicago wrote:We'll have 8 in the stands. Go Mountaineers.
While they could win, this season they look more like the team of the Hatcher years sans Jayson Foster.appstate77 wrote:It is winnable, perhaps by a lot. However this is STILL The Stink. They would love to turn around their miserable season by beating us. Define The Moment in Statesboro!!!
Not sure. I started another thread on this a while back and the consensus was "no specific tailgate spot. Just show up and look for fellow App fans."WVAppsfan wrote:Where are you tailgating?appchicago wrote:We'll have 8 in the stands. Go Mountaineers.
This is PRECISELY why I never plan to go back to Statesboro again. Nothing but trailer trash at that school. Go Apps!WVAPPeer wrote:Wow - good luck!!! - stay away from students and young alumni - They will have all day to get tanked - try to stay in a group of Mountaineers ---WVAppsfan wrote:I am pleased to say that I am going to make the journey to Statesboro, anyone else going?
I went on a cruise this past summer to the Eastern Caribbean. On the first night, they have the obligatory muster at the safety station. I am standing there, bedecked in my App t-shirt and cap, and noticed a young lady standing there with her husband. This lady had on her Georgia Southern t-shirt. I went up to her and very nicely introduced myself, assuming she would quickly recognize my alma mater and our long rivalry. I was prepared for some polite teasing about our two schools. I do recall she said she graduated from GaSo's Dept. of Education and was a teacher. Turns out she had no idea about GaSo football nor who App was. I must have met the ONLY Georgia Southern grad with a job in the history of that institution who had no idea they played college football there.huskie3 wrote:I had a server that graduated from Ga Southern, I had on APP gear. So we started with the usual barbs and then settled into a good conversion. She even walked out with me and said ' thanks , most people do not know where Southern is. A good encounter with a young GaSo grad.
You probably did. Back in the early 2000's I met my son's 1st grade teacher for a parent teacher conference at the beginning of the school year (probably late August early September). She was wearing a Ga So shirt. As we conclude our meeting I mentioned that the school's annual fundraiser was on the Saturday APP played GA So that year. She assured me she was aware and would be doing everything she could to meet her staff obligations for that event prior to kickoff.AppAlum1 wrote: I went on a cruise this past summer to the Eastern Caribbean. The last time we were there, we parked/tailgated in a car wash just across from the stadium. The guy closes the car wash during games and rents out parking spots. Really not badWVAppsfan wrote:Where are you tailgating?appchicago wrote:We'll have 8 in the stands. Go Mountaineers.
