But if I were a really good FCS coach, App State would be a great place to move too.... and make $100,000's more????

Umm maybe $10,000s more.. but again, they won't stay. And then we run into the issues we're currently seeing..

Maybe DG needs to personally ask every Yosef member to increase by $100??....$200?? to compete with other Sunbelt teams on coaches salaries .... just sayin

It seems our fund raising hasn't met our needs

Fundraising is among the best in sun Belt... It's the lack of institutional and state funding that hurts us.

Plus a completely unbalanced budget when DG took over. It was on the verge of being fixed when covid hit and killed every bit of momentum.

We finally have scholarships fully funded. The added ESPN revenue isn't hurting either.

Correct if I'm wrong but isn't that how JMU and ULL have such big budgets (state funding + higher student fees)

I believe that part of JMU’s budget includes the band and cheerleaders.

By moving up, VA law requires JMU to reduce its dependence on student fees. FCS schools in VA can charge higher student fees than FBS schools.
