We are good against below average QBs (A&M and GA St.), and you have the Citadel and Robert Morris game skewing results. Our pass defense should be ok versus Marshall and ODU, CCU and GS will be a very tough test. McCall is the second best QB we will face this season.
But, he's the biggest assh*le on the field we'll have faced
Give Maye time he's got a lot of potential is this category.
So I loathe the Tarheels more than any other team but not sure I can agree with this.
The Tarheels kid should be a Heisman candidate.
Heard earlier that he's currently a 20:1 odds. He's phenomenal. Love them or hate them he's the real deal and his stats rival Hooker or Stroud and he's played pretty good competition.

Had no idea we had the best pass defense in the league…seems like the weakest secondary we’ve had in a while, but maybe I’m focusing too much on missed tackles and not enough on secondary coverage.

North Carolina freshman starting quarterback Drake Maye made headlines earlier this week at a press conference when he said that players only go to rival NC State if they “can’t get into North Carolina”.

I always have to laugh at heel idiots who make these kind of remarks. Wonder how many of them could get into the State VET School, or one of the engineering programs. They need to be renamed University of blowhards.

No. He is good but not that good. Not even close to that territory. He is NEVER mentioned in any Heisman conversations by the TV crews and what competition has he really faced this year against a weak schedule? Maybe at some point but not now.

Cobb and Hampton are “game time decisions”. Didn’t want to here that, hope it was more strategy than reality.

I'm wondering now when coach says that certain guys practiced all week but then don't play did they really in fact practice? Usually I hate when he makes those statements because in my mind if a guy can practice all week that would indicate he can play. I really have zero idea about this process but it's odd. Maybe the guy really didn't practice and won't play but this misinformation is for the opponent.

Who knows but maybe a guy is practicing all week at 60-70% hoping to "work it out" and the injury is improving but it doesn't improve enough. At some point, at game time, a coach has to decide that player A at 70% is better or worse than player B at 100% for real game. That's a lot of ambiguity but you get the point. During the week there is hope but on game day there is reality and a decision has to be made.

OR, the coach may be playing games with opposing coach? Don't know.

I have no direct knowledge of these specific situations, but players could be participating in non-contact drills, or only in a limited capacity.

"They have been practicing" is quite open-ended --- as for Hampton, I would not say one word about him playing - he is special and opponents do have to game plan for him -

Hampton being out is scary. He was .5 off the nation’s leading sack total before missing last week.
