I'm with pulling the starters for 2nd half. Can't be any more lackluster than 1st string

They won't pull the starters. Not as common in football as it is in basketball at this level. Somewhat pathetic though that at this rate we won't get to see the second string as many of us thought we would before kickoff.

Believe we'd see better production with them.

We must be among the leaders in FBS as far as 3rd and 7+ allowed for a first down
i actually get nervous on third and longs because it seems we always give them up. Third and short are ok because most teams try to run and we defend the run well but when they have to pass, well not so good for us on those plays.

Does Chase give us the best chance to win weekly?

I suppose so, and my guess is the coaches think so,
But I’m gravitating to the not sure camp. I don’t know what the others options offer except quicker feet?

I don't think it is even debatable, Chase is by far our best option at qb and gives us the best chance to win. No question about that in my mind and the coaches obviously.

Chase is the best option no matter what. He just needs to make some better throws.

Avery Hall is inside my brain with his comments of what App fans are concerned about in November.
Again...we show up flat and play uninspired football.
Mission for today- Win big at homecoming, get the starters off the field and rested, no injuries
Accomplished today - give a winless FCS team a major moral victory.
At this rate we may not win any of our remaining games

I’m not trying to be hypercritical of Chase, but he’s been a bit inconsistent and it’s frustrating because I believe he can play better than he has, and I don’t mean just today.

And then the pass to Stroman!

Nice throw and catch coming out of the injury time. Chase put that on the money and Stroman made sure the db was not going to break that pass up. Don't look now but we are up 21-3. It should be more and most thought it would be, but the game isn't in doubt at all.

We and Texas A& M are in the same boat. It appears we both regularly have a poorly coached football team.

You are correct. The game is not in doubt. However, anyway you look at it , it’s been an awful half of APP STATE football.

I'm nit doubting Chase or Receivers. We don't need to forget how we were spoiled with the guys that graduated last year. We are ahead of where I thought on Receivers. I believe it's more of a O line thing that's disappointing. Not sure why but outside of 2nd half last week running backs struggled to get big holes.

Slow start and sloppy play. Again.....

Against better competition it is our Achilles heel.

There are some bright spots though. Defense came to play. A couple of nice offensive plays. Stroman is going to be special.

Hope we don't get in a hole against Coastal.

Even if we end up winning 56-3, I’m disappointed
