Just wanted to drop a note to everyone and say that recruiting is about to pick up in a big way so things are about to get even busier. I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date ASAP as offers go out and commits start to come in. 78' and I are coordinating so if I'm on the road or having internet problems and an offer or commit comes in that it will be posted in the thread and I'll add to the post, update the main page, and build player pages when I can. This year is going to be another burner and we'll try and give everyone the best a couple of ol' App fans can do.

I hadn't asked anyone yet but I'll do that. I know we had a few left over from last year along with Covington and Millhouse (I know some have said Millhouse rejoined the team but he couldn't until summer even if he wanted to because he's not a student this semester and he's not said a word on his twitter). I know we have 14 Sr's on the roster (no word yet on Blair's redshirt) and Sumler said in the presser after the spring game that this was his last year even though he's listed as a Jr. Will probably be a couple of the RS Jr's who will graduate so the number is fluid.

Just after signing day it was said that we would have in the low to mid 20's this year and I haven't heard anything to say it's going to be less. I'll get us a more exact target number.

According to a newspaper article I found he is the son of Bishop Tommy Sanders from The Holy Place Church. No mention of him being a former football player.

Also being reported he is no relation to Troy Sanders, who came out of Chester too.

No problem. I did the digging to see if there was any mention of his dad being an App grad. I wondered if you were thinking about Troy and might have meant brother instead of father. That's why I added the second part. I did laugh a bit though wondering if you really did mean him and my first thought was Troy would have been gettin' busy early!!!

Moose...got this message today from a co-worker and former ASU football player. This kid goes to Reidsville High School.... He wants to go to App and the coaches want him at OLB. He took a visit a few weeks ago. Not sure if you posted him or not. I'll let you or Charlie pass this on to who needs it.....

Robert, our All-State Linebacker Jayron Rankin had a visit at APP. They like him and he wants to sign with them. He is supposed to go back in June. He hopes to sign then, if they make the offer. He is looking at APP, NC ST and Richmond. Ga Southern has started to contact him heavy also. He has also been to UNCC. He likes APP the best. They like him at OLB. Can you put the word out to the Coaches staff

Thanks for the heads up. I had him in the Considering section since I had seen something about a visit but hadn't seen an offer and each of the recruiting sites show him with mostly BCS interest so I hadn't really looked to closely at him. I just looked at his highlights and he looks good on both sides of the ball. I'll see what I can find out.
