I don't know. Snow flurries may be fun for these guys. Even a little bit of the white stuff on the ground might be good -- as long as it's the type you can have fun in. Every kid loves snow, unless it's too cold to enjoy, and then only until you have to do work in it.

I've added WR Isaiah Lewis (5′ 11″ 170) of Hillcrest Senior High School in Simpsonville, SC to the Offers Section of the Main Page and put up a player page with video for him. The Rivals and 24/7 2 star WR is a Ga Sou soft commit. Still waiting to see but it's looking like he could visit App next weekend if things work out.

Also I put up a player page with video for ATH DeAndre Belton (6′ 0″ 195) of Fairfield Central High School in Winnsboro, SC. The Rivals 2 star has been showing an offer from App since early Dec and I added him to the Main Page but it was a little difficult finding info on him. It often happens when a recruit has a ' in their name as different sites spell it differently and it doesn't show up in the search engines. Still working to find out any additional information.

App commit DB Kiante Walton (6′ 0″ 195) of Carver High School in Columbus, GA just picked up two more offers. Not sure whose next but the staff has a long way to go to keep our already committed recruits not to mention getting replacements for the ones who decom. Hopefully we can solidify most of the commits here this weekend but they all still have two more weeks for offers to come in and more visits to take. We could go into the 5th with 30 or 15. Who knows? Get ready because this is the price of getting good players. Many other teams want them.

Just hope Walton checks the KState class and roster when he visits next weekend. Three 3 star DB's in this class, two of which are safeties and 22 DB's on the current roster, only 3 of which are Seniors. Playing time will be difficult to come by.

Going to change that to not officially since I had a message waiting for me when I got back online that the staff hasn't been notified yet even though it's all over twitter. I've moved him to the offer section since he still holds the offer until he commits elsewhere but I'll leave his page as a commit until it gets confirmed. This one is a circus.

I wasn't talking about your post MJ. I had posted that he had decommitted based on twitter reports but, as I said above, I had a message on my personal account from a source that he hadn't let the staff know yet. So I deleted the first on and replaced it.

P/PK Jarrett Cervi (6′ 1″ 195) of Millbrook High School in Raleigh, NC (posted Dec 20, 2013) received an offer from Wingate over the weekend. He holds several PWO offers, including one from App.

He's gone but he hasn't bothered to let the staff know yet. I've already removed him but until they say it it isn't "official". Vandy's where he's wanted to go all along. As I said in the post I deleted it's better that he does it now than make us wait until the 31st. At least now we can offer his spot to someone else with a little time left instead of 4 or 5 days.

EDIT: It's now official. He has told the staff. I'll finish removing him and we'll see who gets an offer in his place now.

Sounds like signing day may not be as exciting as we once hoped.

I wouldn't give up hope yet. We've got backups for all positions. If we weren't recruiting quality players we wouldn't be getting poached. We all knew this was coming and so did the staff. They've said all along that they have players ready to offer. This is the world we live in now. At least it usually takes a BCS offer to pull a recruit away from us now. As an FCS school most any FBS offer could take one.

If Canty and Walton sign with SEC schools, their current 2 star Rivals ratings will become at least 3 stars. I think the schools recruiting and offering a player is as good sign of the quality of the player we are going after. I have to give the staff props for identifying the talent and I hope we hold onto most all the rest.

Wow, Walton really blowing up with the offers late. Even better ones than Canty.

Good point Moose. Most of the recruiting battles we've lost have been to BCS schools so it's hard to get too upset with the staff. It seems like we were sending out a good number of offers befor the dead period hit so im sure we have back plans in place. I think it is impressive to be in contention for these caliber players before we ever play a game in FBS.

While it is disappointing to be losing some of these higher profile commitments, one can't really be disappointed in the effort of the staff to this point. They clearly have identified some talented young men.

Anyone heard anything about Hunter Renfrow from Socastee HS? I haven't read this entire thread so I may be missing out on previous posts. Just asking.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

Apparently it is down to Clemson ( as a walk on) and us. It sounds like he had good visit this weekend with our staff.
