McCall is not a kid, and given his birthday, he was never a kid during his time in college. Chodewell is not a mentor and clearly does not care about his players. McCall still made adult choices in not taking care of his grades. When we talk about student-athletes, we are talking about adults making adult decisions. He made his bed and Chodewell tucked him in.

Do we really even know that there is an issue with his grades? Has there been any verification other than someone’s second cousin’s stepfather? Beck was trying hard to keep him. Maybe he recruited him out of the portal.
