Not that my opinion matters but that is a ridiculous use of space.....talking about catering to the 1%. We are headed down a wine and cheese crowd. WakeForest Chapel Hill here we come.Stonewall wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 8:42 pmBoth have been and are under discussion as I understand it.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 3:36 pmOvernight parking or just in and out parking for RVs????????????
I chose App for the Blue collar/lunch pail/everyman attitude of Boone. It is truly driving me crazy watching us App cater to the 1%.

Not sure I've ever equated someone pulling a camper with being a 1%er, but okay. Either way, would be interesting to see RVs parked near the stadium. Guess this is what happens when there are limted hotel options in town.

People work hard to obtain their spare cash, and without them we don't have all the beautiful stadium advancements that entice players to come to App.
BTW, that is the way ALL college football and life works....... unless we digress onto politics, which I do not want

What do you think an RV spot beside the stadium is going to go for? I doubt you are going to see some pull behind pop up camper in those spots. Although, I do have a pop up that I call "Rufus" and I do have the monetary means to park it in the neighborhood AppSt. RV spot with the 1% just to ruin their day. I imagine the new wine and cheese noise police will not allow me to play Metallica.

Sounds like a jolly good time to me. Your own RV with your own private toilet, some good eats, friendly banter with people you clearly don't care for, App State football and some Metallica. Winning all the way around. Makes me wish I had an RV.spacemonkey wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 2:19 pmWhat do you think an RV spot beside the stadium is going to go for? I went to Indy 500 in the 1st turn in a pop up with 500k RV's all around me...... it was too funny, but I didn't care.... actually it was May 2007, just before the Michigan gamespacemonkey wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 2:19 pmWhat do you think an RV spot beside the stadium is going to go for? Re: NIL & College football
Maybe the RVs can pull up next to academic buildings across campus. When we played at Auburn in 1999, I saw one parked next to an academic building. The owner said he had been there since Wednesday. At the time I figured he was bullshitting me, but it just means more.

I saw one parked behind Wey Hall after one game, can’t remember which game.AppinVA wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 6:01 pmMaybe the RVs can pull up next to academic buildings across campus. There are out of the way places to house RVs — like behind Wey. I don’t think we need to open them on Wednesday, but it could be done.goapps93 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 6:15 pmI saw one parked behind Wey Hall after one game, can’t remember which game.AppinVA wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 6:01 pmMaybe the RVs can pull up next to academic buildings across campus. Re: NIL & College football
Some folks we know have a deal with the guy who owns Cornbread Tactical and they park their RV on the grass near his parking lot each game.
It's a really great spot with room to spread out, just in case tailgaters want to get their drink, dance and cigarette on before kickoff.
