Much needed drive. Nice response. Glad the refs decided to make some calls too.

To their credit, guy was never touched. They dialed that up well.
BUT, how do you fall for that?

Re: Marshall Game
so we survived a freak play and still lead.
Settle down at the half, get a grip on what their new staff is doing and finish the job in the 2nd

Offense has to score points. Has to sustain drives and keep their offense off the field.
Defense has to get pressure without giving up a big play.

Re: Marshall Game
What a nail biting first half. At least we answered and went to the half with the lead. We need our lines to step up in the second half. We get the ball to start the second half and need to set the tone. Go down, get another TD and then dominate on both sides of the ball.

Re: Marshall Game
Carry the momentum into this half. I’d like to see some better play calling with goal to goal. We got bailed out on PIs. I’ve noticed we give a lot of cushion to receivers. Do we not have the speed to play up closer on them? Just seems like we give them too much.

Re: Marshall Game
This definitely looks like the best mid week crowd we have ever had. Only area that looked spotty was the upper East side stands but they only showed that once. I love the camera views of the crowd from the north end zone, place looks great. Contrast our crowd to the Louisiana crowd last Friday night and it is night and day. The students have packed Millers hill and the student section on the west side. We really do have the best G5 fans around.

Re: Marshall Game
We always give a 10 yard cushion and it drives me crazy. I have been complaining about it for years and I just don't understand it other than we play bend but don't break and as the field gets shorter so does the cushion.App_in_Maiden wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 8:28 pmCarry the momentum into this half. Re: Marshall Game
Why doesn’t Chase have more “drop back” passes?
From the pistol he rarely drops back after receiving snap— just hovers a yard or two behind the line of scrimmage
I’m no coach, so I may not know better.
