1000% agree with you. What sort of enticements would persuade you to give?Gears wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:02 pmThe levels of giving have not changed in years. In 2020 they did change some, for example to gain access to the hospitality room, that level went to $1500. I just call it the way I see it, if the entire level of giving system could be tweaked I think it would benefit the Yosef club greatly…The majority of donors give less than $500…I am a firm believer in the Walmart strategy; let’s shoot for 5000 members donating $500 each versus a handful of donors giving $5000 each..Add the perks at that level to entice some of these young families to join and become active members and increase the perks for each level corresponding to the donation…you have to spend a little money to make a little money….

I think we all agree that the more donors (at any level) the better. We also have to be cognizant of costs associated with benefits. There need to be some unique benefits at each general level to “make it worthwhile”. For a very long time, Yosef donations meant parking perks-that was it and there was no real tangible reason to donate otherwise (with the exception of the club room). It’s going to take time to break that mentality. Unfortunately I’m not creative enough to figure out how to break the thinking more quickly, though I wish I was.

Re: Yosef Club hospitality
My wife and I were completely happy with the hospitality room open to members at the $1500 giving level… it is something we thoroughly enjoyed. As far as the perks for the $250, $500 and $1000 levels…I think the board and the advisory members need to get creative…Maybe throw in an extra ticket to a game or something…
The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different result… The membership has been stagnant for years. It’s time to try a different approach

The North End Zone Club Level located within the 4th floor of the NEZ offers premium club seats. Premium club seat owners have access to the indoor climate controlled club lounge with high-definition televisions, food and drink concessions sales, alcohol sales, outdoor cushioned seats with cup holders, easy access to club-level restrooms and more. All premium NEZ club seats boxes are contracted on either a 3-year, 5-year or a 7-year basis and require a minimum $500 Yosef Club annual membership. A special step-up pricing program for Young Alumni members is available as well; please contact the Mountaineers Athletic Fund office for more details.

Re: Yosef Club hospitality
I can’t see the animosity toward the NEZ, it has always been additional club seating not hospitality room. My understanding is there were a 1,000 people on waiting list for club seats (that were not coming open very often) thus the need for NEZ.

There were certain benefits like a front Yosef plate for the automobiles and the Media Guides, just to name a couple..BeauFoster wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 2:20 pmI think we all agree that the more donors (at any level) the better. What was wrong with "Yosef Club?" I still have mine. I just don't use it anymore.

Re: Yosef Club hospitality
For those of you interested in the YC hospitality room. Someone asked about it on last nights Zoom call. There isn’t a plan to bring it back at this time, available funds were cited for the reason. However, there will be what Doug Banks called a 5th Quarter event after Elon and ULM that will be held on the field level after those games. They will use those events to gauge the viability of further events of that ilk.
