True, but that game was on a short week Thursday night in 2015. We’re much deeper now than back then and are rested up. Turnovers swung that game in stAtes favor along with being flat out worn down from 3 games in 17 days.
Yep, we were playing with mostly FCS players at that point, they were great but we've gotten bigger, faster, stronger, deeper and more talented now that we're past the transition.
You sure you are not thinking of USA's first ever game in Boone? I remember their QB was like 6'5", 255 lbs. & threw the ball all around the field. We got hammered. But, USA's problem was that they relied on JuCo transfers, so their win was not repeated.
