Yep, Hudspeth was a piece of work and Napier has won 2 more games than Hudspeth did last year and got you guys into the SBC championship game BUT the SBC West was incredibly weak this year so you got lucky with that. So far, I like the talk from Napier and he seems to be righting the Cajun ship but he also has his own personal embarrassing history at The Rock which, to his credit, he owns up to. It's gonna be a great game Saturday but you're gonna go home with yet another loss to the Mountaineers...

The West was Weak. But we beat the leagues best Offense and Ark St while starting 2 walkon players (both out of position), transitioning a WR to CB (who has become a lockdown DB for our defense), taking the leagues worst Oline and turning it into the leagues best (no offense to you), playing Bama and Miss St, (rushed the ball for 200 yards against Bama, first time that happened to them at home since 2011), not having a full roster and starting a walkon QB who didn't even start at his JUCO. Not to mention, completely transforming a locker room and attitude that had imploded on itself. There's so much more I could list.

Napier and staff pulled that off in a less than a calendar year. And it's going to culminate with us hoisting a trophy on your field... It's gunna be sweeeeeeeeeeeet

That's mighty big talk coming from someone who's team is 0 & 5 against us. I get the sensitivity about the name and I'll personally try to stop with the LaLa and admit I have been using it. However; the disparaging comments about you guys not wanting to come to Boone originates from disparaging remarks your previous coach, Hudspeth, made about having to come to Boone and even complaining that we were even added to the conference early on.
I guess it must be pretty disheartening to have been at the FBS level since the late 70s but are 0 & 5 against a little 'ole FCS call up school like App who I believe put up 63 points on your boys last year.

Have you ever seen "The Miracle on the Mountain" (Link below)? It is a my favorite App State football play of all time and enforces the never give up attitude. Coach Napier was the QB for Furman back then. I bet he thinks of that play when he comes back. Have a safe trip up to Boone.

This has been a fun read and good banter. Napier has and will improve Louisiana and they will bring thier A game on Saturday. When all is said and done this is still possibly one of the best or "The Best" team that App State has ever put on the field. With a full season of stats and the previous contest that was not as close as the score indicates to mull over, this should not be a close contest. Odds makers think so too. App Nation is as pumped as I have ever seen and our team feels like they have something to prove.
Be careful Louisiana fan your hopes and dreams of a huge defeat could get dashed before half time Saturdsy. However, stranger things have happened. Not many get to leave the Rock with a W though.

Yes, please let Napier know to prepare for the team you saw play GA Southern. We have confidence that Peyton Derrick can lead us to a Sun Belt Championship! Our second string linebackers were also elevated this week to start over Davis-Gaither and Fehr. Prepare for them too, it should be easy sledding running the ball off tackle.
